1) A link is "a title and a description" of other site.
(2) You can put in a link page (single page or page with link 1, link 2 etc from the same page) for only one subject or mixed.
(3) There can be a directory for different subject - like http://www.webcitymarketing.com/directory - lot of links on different topics
(4) Earlier we call it link page now we cannot use "link" so we use "resources"
(5) You can see "Link page" "related links" "resources" in a web site.
(6) In every web site we make a "resources" page. There we put the details and link of other related sites
(7) There are two type of links -
(a) one way link (They give a link from their site to our site)
(b) reciprocal links - you give a link from you web page and they give you link from their web site.
(8) The link will have a title (keywords) hyperlinked with their URL and a description.
(9) Somebody have image or graphic on the link, that we do not consider, we are talking of "Text Linking" only.
(10) if your web site is related to web designing, then try to find out other web designing company who gives reciprocal links and link to it - it is called Theme linking

Software required for this job:
1. Internet Explorer 6.0
2. Dream weaver
3. FTP Explorer - can download free
4. Download google tool bar to your Internet Explorer

Technical Knowledge required for the development of Links:
a) we will give you a site and inform you the subject, the FTP pass word and username
b) Do you know how to operate Dream weaver
c) do you know how to upload files to server

Basic preparation of Link Development:
(a) Download the google tool bar and activate the Page Rank, if it is automatically not activated. there is a green bar on the tool bar right side, when ever you open a web site, it show a green line, then keep the cursor on the top of it then it shows "google page rank is 4/10" or like that. It means their PR is 4 (Page rank 4 means the relevancy of this site on the Internet as per google's calculation, it is very important)
(b) Google gives ranks on their searches for the site who has PR4 and above. PR8 means very good ranking
(c) Some times the home page may be PR5 but the inside page may be PR1 or PR0

Step in Link development:
(1) Identify the subject of the web site given - let it be www.webcitymarketing.com (Internet Marketing).
(2) Open the google.com and type "reciprocal links Internet marketing"
(3) You get thousands of links
(4) On the links right click and open each page, 2 at a time.
(5) Study those site : find out the "Link" "resources" page, if there is no link or resources page then leave it. The link to "resources" or "link page" should be on the home page, if it is not there then leave it.
(6) If there is a link page then enter, if they have linked of different topics and different category then identify the topic where our site should be placed.
Ex. your site is related to "web design" you enter www.webcitymarketing.com/directory you see lot of categories. But you enter to "web designing" or "web development" this is the place you can keep your links
(7) if our web site is new and link page does not have any PR then you have to add you link only on PR2 page. if their link page have 1,2, and links like 15 pages then see the last page and PR.
(8) When you open their link page see the PR of that page. If our link page is PR3 then we have to add our link on PR4.or PR4 and above
(9) This link development is for getting importance in Google and other Search engines. Maximum link to your site means maximum vote to your web site.
(10) One-way link get double weight than reciprocal link we have to pay $.15 for that links.
(11) Normally others gives link when our link page has some PR but if our site is good, then they will give you link.

Main process in Link Development:

I. what we will give you
( 1) We will send you the resources page link.
(2) We will send you the username and password of FTP (do not do anything to the sever)
(3) We will send you a mailer for "reciprocal Link request"
(4) We will give you a mail address to configure in Outlook express so that you can send mail and we can get a copy as well. (do not use this mail wrongly, so our reputation will be spoiled)

II. Your work
(3) Open our resources page in dream weaver
(4) Open google with Ex: "reciprocal links private investigation"
(5) right click on the each listing and open 2 web site at a time
(6) See the home page PR, then find out the link "Link" or "Resources" on the home page
(7) enter and see the PR of that page if it is not PR3 or above then leave it
(8) see how many links are already placed there if it is more than 80 links then leave it
(9) find out the way they accept the links (x) submitting a form after we add their link (xx) or add their link on our page and send them a mail. - if any of these two methods are not there then leave that site.
(10) Find out if there is an HTMLcode there

(11) Then, add this HTML code on the dreamweaver and see the placement is correct then upload the page on the server and see it on the browser everything is okay
(12) then if there is form - fill up the form carefully.
(13) then make a list of the link page url of the site, where your link will be displayed, in a word file and write on which day you have filled the form or send mail and asked for the reciprocal link - this is your record to keep and send to us.
(14) if there is no form, there should be a email contact given, identify which "mail" you should send from the two mail format we have given to you and send it to the client.
(15) sometime the client does not give any HTML code or any details how to put their link first. They say send us a mail we will link. then you have to send the second mail we have supplied, to them and then on their reply they will give you the HTML code or after sending the form, you can see the links on the "thanks page".
(16) some cases this link development of other site will be handled by "link Managing Software" like linksmanager, linkfarms etc. then you see how the link page url looks, if it is like: http://www.xyz.com/nnn/mmmm"?"/mmmmmm/mm&=12345=&.....etc then leave their site. Some time they say okay thanks they will add. It is a very typical point. but if you cannot understand this, then you put the link, we will tell you whether it is correct or not?
(17) Some time they have given details like instead of HTML code, this below given format only - to add that in our link page, like this: Web site title: Internet Marketing agency in India. Description: Web Marketing company provides-Website promotion, E-mail marketing, internet marketing services, web marketing, pay per click program and search engine optimization services. URL: http://www.webcitymarketing.com
(18) Then you have first put the title and hyperlink on dreawever with http://,,,,,,,,com on it and then add the description. you can see it in any of our sample given.
(19) in these both ways after sending mail to the concerned parties, the work is over.
(20) but we will count the links, when our link appear on their page. (21) it may take 5 min, 48 hours or even 15 days to get our link on other's site.
(22) normally when we request a link, then we have to put their link first and fill the form or send request by email.
(23) when you are thorough with this then I will teach you some secret how to get link quickly.
(24) one important point is that = you may come across some link says" with one click you can add 40 links or 20 links etc. They are called "link farms", "Link factory" or "Link spaming" you should not take link from them. google will black list your site.
(25) Also take only one link from one site. This is how link development works. Google will accept only reciprocal link from PR4 and above pages. So you always try to get links from the linkpage of PR4 and above. Normally people who are linking to our site also see our ranking if it is a new site some of them wont give.
